Pressure Testing Air Heaters
At Tutco-Farnam Custom Products, we take pride in offering a full
spectrum of services for our customers. This includes pressure
testing our Cool Touch™ and Heat Torch™ heaters at the customer’s request. While none of
our heaters are hermetically sealed because of slight air leakage
through the lead wires, we can test to the below standard for
heaters with solid conductor lead wires. For heaters with stranded
lead wires, we can perform a separate test to ensure there are no
leaks in welds or compression fittings.

For stranded lead wire we pressurize to 90 PSI and spray the heater down with soapy water to ensure no leaks at welds and compression fittings. Cost is calculated on a case by case basis. Please inquire with your order details.
