Cool Touch™ 150

The TUTCO Farnam Cool Touch™ 150 Heat Torch is a robust air heating tool designed for high reliability, long life, and substantial air flow. In-service applications include staking, curing, drying, heat-shrinking, sterilization, adhesive activation, air scrubbing, and air knives. The CoolTouch™150 HeatTorch heating element is contained in a 2.0” diameter stainless steel pipe. The heater body is 8.24” long for power ratings from 500-2500 watts, and 12.14” long for 2750-5000 watts. The standard power increments are 250 watts and 500 watts, respectively.
Allowable air flow is from 4.8 to 70 SCFM. The maximum air input temperature is 250°F. The maximum air output temperature is 1300° F. The standard inlet fitting is a 0.5” NPT female. Standard outlets include 0.25”, 0.5” and 1” NPT female fittings and no exhaust fitting.

The 150 offers one of the widest configuration ranges in the Cool Touch series, with 0.5–5.0 kW models available across 120V, 208V, 240V, and 480V, in both single- and three-phase options. This flexibility simplifies integration into global manufacturing systems.
Thanks to the triple-pass design, the exterior stays significantly cooler than a conventional single-pass heater operating at the same output temperature. While the surface may warm, it is substantially safer to touch and reduces the need for external shielding.
Its internal design maximizes thermal transfer surface area and heat retention, allowing it to reach temperature quickly and maintain stable exhaust temperatures even under variable airflow, power cycling, or high-volume continuous flow.
The Cool Touch™ 150 delivers substantially higher airflow (up to 70 SCFM) and wattage (up to 5000W), making it suitable for large-scale industrial processes, wide-area heating, and continuous-duty environments. It retains the Cool Touch safety advantages but is engineered for heavy production loads.
