Pressure Torch™ 600

High-Flow, Medium-Pressure Process Air Heater

Made in USA

The Pressure Torch™ 600 from TUTCO Farnam is a high-flow medium-pressure process air heater engineered for industrial applications that demand large air volumes, low pressure drop, and fast thermal response. Featuring a 6-inch diameter stainless-steel body, the Pressure Torch™ 600 is designed to deliver efficient air heating at pressures up to 150 PSIG while maintaining minimal airflow restriction.

The Pressure Torch™ 600 utilizes a spiral-wound open-coil heating element manufactured from the highest-grade materials. This efficient design maximizes heat transfer while enabling rapid heat-up and cool-down cycles, supporting precise temperature control and energy-efficient operation. With airflow capability up to 1,100 SCFM and maximum outlet temperatures of 900°F (482°C), the Pressure Torch™ 600 is well suited for high-throughput industrial processes.

Built for continuous duty, the robust stainless-steel construction provides long service life and reduced operating costs. Regenerative blowers and complete packaged systems are also available to support turnkey installations.

Key Features & Benefits

High Airflow with Minimal Flow Restriction
The Pressure Torch™ 600 is designed for high airflow applications up to 1,100 SCFM while maintaining a low pressure drop. Its efficient internal geometry minimizes flow restrictions, allowing large volumes of air to be heated without excessive energy loss or increased blower demand.

Fast Heat-Up and Cool-Down Cycles
A spiral-wound open-coil heating element made from high-grade materials provides rapid heat-up and cool-down. This fast response improves temperature control accuracy, reduces downtime, and supports processes that require frequent cycling or tight thermal tolerances.

Medium-Pressure Capability
Capable of operating at pressures up to 150 PSIG, the Pressure Torch™ 600 bridges the gap between low-pressure duct heaters and extreme high-pressure systems. This makes it ideal for industrial processes that require elevated pressure without over-engineered solutions.

Optimized Heat Transfer
The spiral-wound element design maximizes surface area and heat transfer efficiency. This ensures uniform heating of high airflow volumes while maintaining stable outlet temperatures across the operating range.

Rugged 6-Inch Stainless-Steel Construction
The 6-inch diameter stainless-steel heater body and fittings provide reliable, long-life performance in demanding industrial environments. This robust construction supports continuous-duty operation while reducing maintenance and operating costs.

System Integration and Control Options
The Pressure Torch™ 600 is compatible with regenerative blowers and complete packaged systems. Optional control panels provide precise temperature regulation, system monitoring, and safety protection for turnkey installations.

Advantages Over Conventional Heaters

Optimized for High Flow at Medium Pressure
Unlike conventional duct heaters that restrict airflow or struggle at elevated pressures, the Pressure Torch™ 600 is specifically engineered to handle high airflow rates with low pressure drop while operating up to 150 PSIG.

Faster Thermal Response
The spiral-wound, low-mass open-coil heating element allows the Pressure Torch™ 600 to heat and cool rapidly, improving temperature accuracy and reducing overshoot compared to high-mass conventional heaters.

Low Pressure Drop
Minimal internal flow restriction reduces blower load and system energy consumption, improving overall system efficiency and extending component life.

Improved Energy Efficiency
Efficient heat transfer, fast response times, and reduced airflow resistance combine to lower operating costs and improve energy efficiency.

Rugged Industrial Construction
The stainless-steel, pressure-rated heater body and fittings provide long service life and reliable performance in demanding industrial environments where conventional heaters may fail prematurely.

Simplified Installation and Integration
Flanged stainless-steel connections and flexible mounting options make the Pressure Torch™ 600 easy to integrate into new equipment or retrofit existing systems.
